Aluminum extrusion is the process of creating parts with specific cross-sectional profiles by pushing pre-heated aluminum alloy material through a die.
Shree Building Products delivers the final output of the extrusion process can be a solid, hollow or semi-hollow profile, it could be simple or complex as per the customer requirements.
For manufacturing a superior quality aluminum profiles, here, at Shree Building Products, we follow some strict universal guidelines and process:

Die Design

It is the first and foremost step for the aluminum extrusion process. We use H13 Steel for our die design which is generally round shaped and can withstand very high pressure. Before moving to the extrusion press, the die must be preheated around 450 – 500 degree celcius. This is done to expand its life to the fullest and ensure proper metal flow.

Preheat Treatment of Billets

In this process, a solid, cylindrical block of aluminium alloy, known as billet, is cut from a longer log. This billet is then heated around 450 – 500 degree celcius to make it malleable and not molten enough for the further extrusion process. Material used 6061, 6063, 6082, 7075, 2024 etc

Extrusion

Press capacity : 1200/1400/1800 UTS.

Width: 12 Inch max.

Annual capacity : 7200 Metric ton

The pre-heated billets then undergo an extrusion process. In this process, the malleable billet is loaded into the extrusion press, where the hydraulic ram applies a high amount of pressure, thus, the material expands to fill the walls of the container. With continuous pressure being applied to it, the aluminium material has to go through the opening(s) in the die. It emerges from the die’s opening in the shape of a fully-formed profile.

Quenching

After the extrusion process, the quenching process is done. In this process, the aluminium material is rapidly cooled, thereby altering its molecular structure and increasing its hardness, which results in performance improvement. We perform all type of T1 to T10 temperature treatment

Stretching, Cutting & Final Inspection

We perform all type of machining work to match the exact specifications given by the customer.

Forming, Cutting, Drilling, Punching, Embossing, Fabrication etc.

In the final step of the process. all the profiles are thoroughly checked by measurement as well as visually check by performing various quality checks.
